[July 30] The changelogs are now posted in the forum: http://my.icyworlds.net/forum/ . Login and password are the same as what you use to get into the game. [July 29] Bug Fixes - A glitch could cause the server to crash when posting an auction. This has been fixed. General Changes - The damage caused by Trash has been tentatively redesigned, as the difference between a fully geared warrior and a slightly less geared one was staggering. With the change, the top tier should see a damage reduction by 6%; lower tiers will see less, and may even see a damage increase. - - The base damage from the skill itself has been increased by roughly 30%. - - The bonus damage from attack has been decreased to 200%. - Tail armour can now be enchanted. - Andy in Ashaya Village sells different threads that can be used to reinforce and enchant tail armour. - Andy also allows players to store up to 10 items, if they open an account with him for a small one-time fee. [July 28] Bug Fixes - "Recipe: Spicy Taco" indeed teaches the recipe for spicy tacos now. (Reported by Caydence) General Changes - The hotkey bar can now be locked, preventing players from accidentally dragging their skills out from it. (Suggested by Rhyfe). - Mine Workers (low chance) and Deep Mine Workers (slightly higher chance) both drop Mine Worker Spirit Bottles now. (Thanks to Rhyfe for the Illustration) - The repeatable quest for "Bug Hunt!" is no longer timed, and instead offered by Sandra. The trophy description has been adjusted to reflect that. - The level of Icicle proc'ed by Ice Spirit Bottles has been increased to 3 (up from 1). - Fruit Bat spirit bottles now enchant bracelets. Players who have already enchanted gloves with them have the option to leave them enchanted, or have them un-enchanted (via a /feedback ticket). - All monster dropped bracelets have obtained one enchantment slot. - Clicking target bars, or clicking actors with shift held down (to obtain a target bar) no longer uses auto-attack. [July 27] Bug Fixes - Damage from Poison is no longer reduced by armor twice. - Skills cast from ledges in PvP will no longer fail, claiming the target is out of range, when it clearly isn't. - The Schwartzwald tribes have returned once again to protect the relic in TvT. General Changes - Two recipes for preparing Tacos have been added: - - The recipe for regular Tacos can be purchased from Janette in the village café for a few silver. - - The recipe for extra-spicy Tacos that give a higher strength buff can be obtained from the Fruitbats near the Emberberry bushes at a low rate. - Fliffies now drop Haunch of Meat, which is used as an ingredient for Tacos. - The "Bug Patrol" quest offered by Erik is now repeatable, giving lower level players the chance to obtain more silver rather easily, and higher level players the chance for a trophy. (Suggested by Dawnrise) - If another player gets knocked out, their health bar no longer displays the health they had before that last hit that KO'ed them. PvP - Players that obtain the "Determination" buff for being on the TvT team with fewer players are now healed for however much health the buff gives them. - Players obtain multiple stacks of "Determinations" if the total number of players is particularly low, and fewer stacks if the total number of players is high. [July 24] General Changes - Players can no longer be charmed indefinitely. (Found by Caydence) - Skills now fail to cast if the target moves out of range before the cast ends. (Reported by Dazz) - Spellcasts that cannot be interrupted now use a different cast bar to hint that. PvP - Once the relic is destroyed, GvG now ends immediately. - Sleep, stun and freeze spells now work properly on charmed targets. [July 23] General Changes - With enough data on tokens and how they are obtained, several changes were applied to make their acquisition more balanced: - - "Treasure Hunt!" now has a 30 minute delay before it can be repeated. Credit is still shared, so multiple players can still rack up tokens somewhat quickly, however I would like to prevent the situation where a single player repeats the quest dozens of times in a row. - - "Fighting Poison with Poison" now has a 30 minute delay before it can be repeated, as well. - - Dungeon bosses drop an increased amount of tokens to make up for the quest cooldown: High Overseer Rotclaw 1-2 Tokens Zhaakan 2-3 Tokens Vilefang 2-3 Tokens Cladt Scytheclaw 2-3 Tokens (only if fought during a dungeon run) Noxxara 3 Tokens Frigus 3 Tokens Casper 3 Tokens - Bosses that drop additional items based on player counts do so only for one (randomly selected) difficulty mode. (Reported by Dawnrise). - The health of the Emberberries growing on the various bushes has been reduced to 8 (down from 15). - Monsters possessing another actor will no longer use AoE spells if they only have one target. - AoE damage calculation has been optimized; please report any odd (too high or too low damage) sightings. - Pets will stop attacking targets that get affected by sleep or freeze. - - Also, monsters will generally consider targets afflicted with sleep or freeze much less of a threat than targets that are not. - Fruit Bats can now drop spirit bottles. PvP - The duration of Sleep Powder on players has been reduced to a maximum of 8 seconds (down from 15). [July 21] General Changes - Monster that possess an actor will no longer randomly use its skills when idle. PvP - Charming Potions now work in PvP. - - While controlling another player, you only have access to auto-attack. - - As with monsters, you cannot control another player three or more levels higher your own. - - All possess spells only last eight seconds in PvP; the duration is further reduced if Possess is applied repeatedly. - - In TvT and GvG, the relic can be attacked by the charmed player (if the controlling player could attack it). - - All credit for destroying objects or the relic itself is passed to the controlling player. - - Possessed pets no longer respond to pet commands such as Stay, Follow, Attack, or Use Ability. - - Possessed pets can no longer be dismissed. Possess - Several additional skills are now considered valid picks for monsters that control other actors. They can. - The affiliation for charmed actors did not display correctly to players entering the map they were on. This has been fixed. - Players possessing another actor can see damage dealt or received by both, them and the actor they possess. (Reported by Fluffeh) [July 19] General Changes - Characters no longer get stuck if their possess spell breaks because the monster they possessed left the map. - Cooldowns now display properly on possessed combat pets. - The EU server is supposed to be for development only, which is now enforced by the server. - - Added server-specific configurations, allowing me to lock down the EU server while still syncing everything else. - - All non-contributer accounts on the EU server have been locked. - - The EU server will also no longer auto-create accounts if a name that was not taken is entered. - It is no longer possible to step on portals while charmed. PvP - Added support for Tenacity: - - Tenacity allows players to endure more damage in PvP combat by reducing damage from other players, similar to armour. - - Unlike armour, tenacity also mitigrates magic damage, as well as damage from critical hits. [July 17] Bug Fixes - Upon resetting skills, the skill levels in your hotkey bar are reset as well. (Reported by Daymare) - Getting knocked out in the map just west of Ashaya village no longer causes the player to respawn inside the village if they haven't done Kay's initial quest yet. (Reported by Daymare) - When all stat and skill points are spent, the glow will now be removed from the respective buttons. (Reported by Bramble) - Logging out from a poisoned character no longer causes the next character the user switches to display as if it were poisoned. [July 8] Bug Fixes - Various headgear no longer randomly disappears under certain circumstances while sitting or dead. (Reported by Bramble) - A race condition could cause the server to shut down for maintenance before all player data was saved, causing a loss of up to five minutes of progress. This has been fixed.
